"MANIFESTO: The Diaghilev Project" is a new musical conceived by American playwright Nathan Wright and Greek director Nadia Foskolou. This original composition, part theatrical collage, part dance concert, explores the life and work of legendary founder of Ballets Russes Sergei Diaghilev, who left an indelible mark on the musical but also broadly artistic 20th-century avant-garde scene.

Foskolou directed the 2018 NYC premiere of "MANIFESTO", produced by In Absentia Theatre (Robert Moss Theatre). Now award-winning composer and classical pianist Dustin Gledhill and Wright composed new songs and further developed the musical moments of the play. This new version was included in The Bohemians: New York Musicians’ Club's season (the historic club counted Sergei Rachmaninov among its members).

Highlighting the musical parts, and supported by Nik Mucha's choreography, "MANIFESTO: The Diaghilev Project" was presented as a staged concert at the Kosciuszko Foundation in Manhattan on June 5th, 2024, and was enthusiastically received by a full house. Next to the five musical-theatre performers, on stage was the composer himself, as well as a harpist and cellist.
